Dear Member,
For some time now the Board was not satisfied with the performance of the website that we introduced last year. Our website of course, as is the case with all businesses and organizations, has become the key tool to communicate and should be reliable and user friendly. Accordingly rather than trying to fix a system that had turned out just not appropriate we made the decision to create a new website.
I am very pleased to inform you that the new website has now been completed and is ready to go live. We are quite happy with its functionalities and are confident that you will find it easy to use. The new website resembles the previous one in appearance and the transition should be seamless.
Shortly, the new website will go live and for the kickoff, you will receive a personalized email explaining how to log in and obtain your own password. You will also be able to review and update other personal information as well as subscribe to newsletters and browse our upcoming events.
This project has been accomplished within a very short time frame and I would like to thank my fellow Board members Barbara Schneemann , Arthur Heydendael and in particular Hans Vredeling for their relentless efforts as well as Jan Willem van Drimmelen who represented the Young Professionals . The cost of the project remained within our original budget.
While the key purpose of this message to you is of course to announce the website , I would also like to take this opportunity to point out that we have an active calendar of events in store for you in the coming months . Just check out the website!
We look forward to seeing you often at the Club starting with April 30th for the Consul General's reception to celebrate our Queen's birthday followed of course by our after party . We will be featuring wonderful Indonesian food and live music and I urge you to register early so we can make appropriate arrangements.
